adj.
1. Guided by or in accordance with the dictates of conscience; principled: a conscientious decision to speak out about injustice.

 citizens to serve on its civil grand jury.

The court's 23 civil grand jurors a member of a grand jury.

``It's a wonderful opportunity to participate in the democratic process and make a difference in county government,'' Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon said in a statement.

Grand jurors work full time downtown for $25 a day, plus mileage. Requirements include a general knowledge of government and research and report-writing experience. Jurors must have no felony felony (fĕl`ənē), any grave crime, in contrast to a misdemeanor, that is so declared in statute or was so considered in common law.  convictions, be U.S. citizens and have lived in Los Angeles County at least a year.
