It's our American right,'' said Shannan Labrador, who has always taken her daughter along to vote even though the youngster's didn't count. Exercising the right to vote has been important in Labrador's family since she became eligible at 18, and she intends to teach that respect for the democratic process to her daughter. ``We want her to know the excitement of taking part in an election,'' Labrador said. That sense of civic duty seemed to draw voters to the polls at Bridgeport in the face of low voter VOTER.
