CIVIC BOARD POSITIONS OPEN IN CAMARILLO.

CAMARILLO Camarillo (kă'mərē`yō), city (1990 pop. 52,303), Ventura co., S Calif.; inc. 1964. It is the center of a fertile farm area where citrus fruits and flowers are grown.  - Civic-minded residents have the opportunity to apply for openings on several city committees.

The Rent Review Commission, which helps settle rent disputes, has a four-year alternate seat for a mobile home owner home owner home npropriétaire occupant  representative.

The Area Agency on Aging Advisory Committee, which meets the second Wednesday of every month, has a four-year opening. Applicants must submit a resume and a statement of economic interest.

The Citizens' Transportation Advisory Committee, which meets monthly in Ventura, has an opening for an alternate and for a representative.

The Air Pollution Control District advisory committee has an opening that will expire expire /ex·pire/ (ek-spi´er)

 January 2003. The committee reviews proposed rules from the Air Pollution Control District before the board holds a public hearing. The committee meets on the fourth Tuesday monthly at night in Ventura.

The Citizens Advisory Committee to the Camarillo Redevelopment Project Area has a two-year opening. The committee advises the city on matters regarding redevelopment. The meetings are held on an as-needed basis. Applicants must be residents or own property within the redevelopment project area.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 5.
