``My feeling is that, as the campaign has progressed, and seeing the differences in positions that they've taken, that Corinne will be a stronger advocate for the Valley,'' said Jeff Brain, president of Valley Voters Organized Toward Empowerment.

Carlos Ferreyra, a Valley VOTE executive board member, said he was endorsing someone who has been working in the community for a long time and is not being groomed as a politician.

``We need someone there who will stay there and work with the community,'' he said.
