CITY WELCOME PLEASES NEW BUSINESSES.Byline: R.A. Hutchinson Daily News Staff Writer A framed certificate and a bit of free publicity might not sound like much, but owners of new businesses in Agoura Hills say the goodwill can go a long way toward fostering their success. "It shows they're really taking a lot of concern about the businesses in the city and that they want them to be successful," says Andrew Fienberg, co-owner of Fine's Family Bakery with his wife, Jill. The Fienbergs, who live in Tarzana in the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills. , opened their retail bakery just over a week ago on Canwood Street in Agoura Hills. At a City Council meeting Wednesday night, the city was to present them and five other newcomers with certificates that carry the city's seal. "We chose Agoura Hills to open our business because everyone is so nice, including the city," Fienberg said. "We like the family attitude of doing business. The program is part of an overall effort to foster economic development and enrich the city's tax base. Carol Tubelis, economic coordinator for the city, said nine businesses have been recognized since the once-a-month program started.
