The city and property owners are discussing what to do with the site, but officials declined to comment about any plans. The Sears building and the Mitsubishi dealership, originally a grocery store, were built in 1958. The Sears building was the first department store built outside of the city's downtown area and it was intended to anchor an outdoor shopping mall.
