Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) is a two-year community college located in New Mexico, whose main campus is on 366 acres (148 hectares) just southwest of
in a year, Bishop said. MASTERS stands for Mathematics, Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering, Reading and Service.

"It's a career pathways type of program; an early college/high-school program where students can save time, money and get a better education," Bishop said in a phone interview. "We'll serve grades 10 through 12. My goal is to have the finest school in New Mexico New Mexico, state in the SW United States. The program will include the opportunity to pursue a dual-credit course at the community college that will give high-school students an associate degree upon graduation. Bishop said he has a letter of intent with SFCC SFCC Santa Fe Community College (New Mexico)

regarding operating on the campus -- a point confirmed by an SFCC spokesman.

Bishop said he'll work on building a board of directors, which will in turn hire a head of school, teachers and administrative staff. The budget for the first year of operation is a little more than $1.1 million, he said. The student-to-teacher ratio will be about 20-to-1.

Bishop said he hopes to

enroll 120 students in the first year. The school can grow its student population to 200 over five years. Tuition is free and admission is by lottery. The school expects to start looking at applications early next year. Interested parties can call Bishop at 984-1133.

The MASTERS Program is one of seven new charter schools approved by the PEC Peć (pĕch), Albanian Peja, town (1991 pop. 68,163), S Serbia, in the Kosovo region.
