CITY STUDENT WINS BEAUTY CONTEST.


THE family of a city model crowned Miss Black Britain Britain (brĭt`ən), alternate term for Great Britain, comprised of England, Scotland, and Wales. Often used synonymously with the United Kingdom, the name Britain is derived from Britannia,  2009 today said they were very proud at her success.

Rikaya Tagoe, of Toxteth, was persuaded to enter the competition by her sister and didn't expect to make the final held at London's Mermaid Theatre The Mermaid Theatre is a theatre in the City of London, and the first built there since the time of Shakespeare. It was also one of the first new theatres to abandon the traditional stage layout; instead a single tier of seats surrounded the stage on three sides. .

But the 20-year-old Child Psychology student walked away with the top prize.

Proud gran Eileen Rafter said: "She's only a young kid from Toxteth and yet she's done this.

"She's a lovely girl and really deserves this.

We're so proud."

Rikaya said: "What an amazing a·maze
