CITY SETTLES THE FATE OF DISPUTED CORNER.

The developer first proposed a gas station in 1987, and in 1989 after community opposition, he agreed to a plan for a mini-mall. Those plans were also scaled back from a 16-store mini-mall, to the two tenants now proposed: the pharmacy and the child-care center.

The plan approved Wednesday includes a 16,730-square-foot pharmacy and a 9,450-square-foot child-care center. The pharmacy will feature a drive-up window, built alongside the Spring Road side of the structure and away from neighboring neigh·bor
