Chatsworth (24-3) sent 10 batters to the plate in the bottom of the fourth and scored six runs on four hits. San Pedro also made three errors in that inning, and Kenny scored on one of those errors after his triple.

``Charles (Kenny) delivered the key hit in that inning,'' Chatsworth coach Tom Meusborn said. ``He did a good job coming back from his previous at-bat, when he struck out with runners on first and second.''

Matt Fisher and Jason Spector each slugged three-run homers in the bottom of the fifth off Pilots reliever Richard Aguilar to give Chatsworth its final runs.

``I can see why they're ranked No. 1. Everyone in their lineup can stick the ball,'' San Pedro coach Jerry Lovarov said. ``You just can't give a team like that anything extra like we did.''

San Pedro (18-10) scored its lone run in the fourth when Chris Lusic and Scott Dworshak hit back-to-back doubles to lead off the inning. However, with a runner on second and nobody out, Chancellor pitcher Mike Kunes (11-1) then retired the next three Pilots batters to end the threat.

Kunes retired the first nine batters of the game with four strikeouts before the back-to-back doubles. He then retired the next six batters in a row, finishing with five strikeouts and no walks.
