Quarterback Rueben Zaragoza passed for 107 yards and connected with Norris (four catches for 85 yards) on a 25-yard touchdown play to stake the Cougars to a 16-6 halftime lead.

The Cougars' defense was led by David Burney, who picked off his section- leading eighth pass of the year, and Villiami Langi, who controlled the defensive line with two sacks.
