Eagle Rock wasted little time moving into position for its third consecutive Northern League championship.

Aaron Frescas threw for three touchdowns in the first half as the visiting Eagles defeated Wilson of El Sereno 21-0 Friday night.

Eagle Rock (7-1 overall, 4-0 league) scored on its first possession on a 12-yard pass from Frescas to Josh Jovanelly.

 Wilson possession. Two plays later, Frescas threw a 41-yard strike to Damian Fuentes for a 14-0 lead.

Jovanelly finished with 130 yards receiving and became the first Eagle Rock to reach 2,000 in a career. Frescas added 225 yards passing and V.J. Castanos rushed for 109 yards.

 and Matthew Gentle combined for 281 yards rushing and four touchdowns to lead the visiting Cougars of Granada Hills (3-4, 2-0).

Hicks, who finished with 121 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, scored on a 12-yard run on Kennedy's second offensive play. Hicks added a 30-yard score late in the third quarter.

Gentle had scoring runs of 50 and 3 yards and totaled 160yards on 16 carries.
