Portis was 11 of 17 for 169 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 109 yards and two scores, including a 75-yard run in the second quarter to break a 7-7 tie and give Taft (4-1) the lead for good. It was the fourth consecutive victory for Taft after a season-opening loss to Crenshaw cren·shaw also cran·shaw n.
