CITY PUTS $1,000 BOUNTY ON GLASS-BREAKING VANDALS.

Responding to a spate of smashed windows, city officials offered a $1,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the vandals responsible.

Since May 1, windows have been broken at 32 locations - most of them businesses - damaged by vandals, said Lt. Tim Peters Tim Peters may refer to:

 of the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  sheriff's station.

Investigators determined the windows were broken with either a BB gun, a pellet gun a gun that fires small pellets, less than 3 mm diameter, usually made of metal.

In one case, two men, about 18 to 20 years old, in a dark blue two-door compact car, possibly a Toyota, were seen breaking a window.

``In that case, the suspects shot out the driver's side window of the victim's vehicle,'' said Peters, commander of the Santa Clarita Valley station detective bureau.
