CORK CITY'S unity and solidarity as a group will be put to the test again today when they meet with club chairman Tom Coughlan Tom Coughlan is a marketing professional, and academic, who has broad experience in both theory and execution. Starting his career in the technology industry Tom has held a number of roles that have included regional, national, and in some cases worldwide marketing responsibility.  for yet another crisis meeting on Leeside.

Team boss Paul Doolin Paul Doolin (born 26 March 1963 in Dublin) is a former Irish footballer.

He played for Bohemians scoring on his debut in September 1981. In June 1985 he signed for Shamrock Rovers and in his 3 years at the club won the double twice scoring 30 goals in 107 appearances.
, his players, the PFAI PFAI Professional Footballers Association of Ireland  and the owner are due to meet to thrash out a survival package for the Setanta Cup holders.

Cork opened the defence of their cross-border, All-Ireland trophy with a hard fought 1-0 win over northern rivals, Cliftonville at Turners Cross on Saturday night but that did not hide the on-going cash flow problems that have beset the club.

"No one likes to work for nothing and it's been depressing some days but we have stuck together and battled on," said Doolin after Saturday's opening Setanta Cup victory

"We are four weeks in arrears, owed for all of August and we still put in a display like that and that shows the unity and solidarity in the camp.

"We have another meeting today with the PFAI, the players' union and the chairman so hopefully something will be finalised for us between now and the end of the season.

"This is the most important part of the year, there have 11 league games or so to go and we still have a chance.

"We are level with Derry and a game extra on Rovers - it will be tough.

"But we certainly have no chance of doing it if the club is not sorted out," added Doolin after Joe Gamble's first goal of the season gave the home side a fortunate win.

"It was only 1-0 and no matter who it is whether it's Bohs, Bray or Cliftonville there is always a chance that they will get a goal back."

IN THE weekend's other game Bohs defeated Glentoran 2-1 in Belfast with Jason Byrne and Jason McGuiness on the scoresheet for the Gypsies.
