CITY PLAYOFFS : SYLMAR SURVIVES FOR SEMIS.

San Pedro (12-10) got the ball back twice over the final minute but missed its last two shots.

Sylmar (16-9) will play Franklin in Friday's semifinals.

Although Daron Wilson scored eight of his 16 points in the third quarter, Sylmar trailed 38-37 going into the final quarter.

Down 46-45 with 1:10 left, Turner, who finished with 10 points, grabbed a rebound of a missed Spartans free throw and put it back in to give Sylmar the victory.

     112, Kennedy 64: Defending City 4-A champion Crenshaw used a variety of full-court presses and was overpowering on the boards to cruise to a quarterfinal win at Crenshaw.

    Crenshaw (21-3) jumped out to a 29-10 first-quarter lead. Kennedy (13-11) guard Waking Bailey finished with 19 points to inflict the most damage against Crenshaw's pressure.

    Teammate Michael Calloway scored 25 points for Kennedy, which trailed 54-30 at halftime. Calloway had only two points in the first quarter.

    Crenshaw received 21 points apiece from Alastair Faux and Antonio Garrison. Point guard Kevin Bradley Kevin Bradley (born 18 June 1986 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football midfielder currently playing for Clyde. Bradley is a product of Clyde's youth system.

    Banning 61, North Hollywood 55: Lindsay Sotero-Higa had 19 points and Markia Derby added 10 points for the Huskies (22-4) in a quarterfinal loss at Banning (22-4).

    Narbonne 60, Kennedy 38: A stormy season came to a close for Kennedy, which was routed in a 4-A quarterfinal game at Narbonne.

    GIRLS' 3-A

    Eagle Rock 50, Fairfax 38: Senior Jeanine Avila's team-high 15 points led the Eagles (22-5) in a quarterfinal game at Eagle Rock High. Frankie O' Connor added nine points, 10 rebounds and seven steals for Eagle Rock.
