IMPROVEMENTS to footways and pedestrian crossings are taking place in the Stanley Park area as part of the pounds 14m regeneration Regeneration (biology)

Council executive member for the environment Cllr Berni Turner said: "This is essential work when we are restoring the park to its former glory during Liverpool's Year of the Environment.

"It has produced far better access to the park and improved the public realm for local residents."
