CITY OF JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI PURCHASES FIRE CAP(TM) FOR USE IN POLICE VEHICLES

JACKSON, Miss., June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Pyrocap International Corporation (AMEX: PYR) and The Colbra Corporation today announced that the City of Jackson, Mississippi has approved and made an initial purchase of 600 canisters of FIRE CAP(TM) from Colbra for placement in city police cruisers, police motorcycles, other city vehicles and city shops. Colbra declined to provide a dollar amount for the purchase.

A letter from Wade Thornhill, Fleet Manager for the city of Jackson, stated the following: "We have tested the product and are pleased with its performance in the areas of fire suppression. Also, the fact that this product can be placed in the saddle bags of motorcycles, which we cannot do with standard extinguishers due to their size and weight, adds an additional safety feature that our patrolmen would not have otherwise. We feel that this product will more than pay for itself in the future and is a definite asset to our current safety systems."

"This was an unexpected customer for this product," commented Theodore A. Adams, III, president of Pyrocap International Corp. "FIRE CAP(TM) was developed primarily for the consumer market as a means to offer homeowners, office workers, and other individuals direct access to our fire suppression agent, PYROCAP B-136(TM), for personal fire protection." FIRE CAP(TM) is now available in an easy-to-use 16-ounce spray can, exclusively from The Colbra Corporation.

FIRE CAP(TM) contains the same U.S. Government approved fire suppressant agent (PYROCAP B-136(TM)) that is being purchased by the City of Atlanta Fire Department in connection with the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. PYROCAP B-136(TM), manufactured by Pyrocap International Corp., is a patented, non-toxic concentrate made from organic compounds. Use of PYROCAP B-136(TM) has proven effective, lessening risk of injury and death among fire victims and emergency personnel. PYROCAP B-136(TM) extinguishes fires faster and reduces associated smoke and heat more effectively than water alone. This product has been approved by The Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Mines and The Department of Transportation (Federal Aviation Administration).
