 CITY LOOKS GOES TO PARIS
MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Joe Francis, founder of The

Barbers(R) Hairstyling for Men & Women, Inc., a Minneapolis-based, publicly held company, franchiser of City Looks(R) and Cost Cutters(R) hair salons, announces the opening of the first of 100 planned City Looks salons located throughout France over the next five years.
The first, a 15-chair salon opened in Torcy, a North West suburb of Paris, is three miles from the new Euro-Disney location. The Master Franchise is owned by Gerard Glemain, who is the president and founder of St. Algue, a 200-plus chain of salons, which is one of the largest and fastest growing French hair salon franchises throughout Europe. Francis stated, "With their fine reputation and expertise in the hair styling and the salon industry, we will expand quickly. The French consumer has responded very well, sales are way ahead of projection.
"The French became attracted to our company because of our outstanding performance as marketers of hair salon services, our products, our business/management systems, and our total commitment to our franchisees. They also wanted to capitalize on our 28 years experience."
Paris is the second European opening by City Looks. "Our first American Salon opened June 22 in Moscow (formerly Soviet Union), employs 45 and is quickly gaining a strong reputation as the largest, most luxurious salon, offering its customers a full entre of services unmatched anywhere throughout the Eastern Bloc," said Francis.
"Our field support and training staff have expressed their biggest thrill is when they travel to our foreign locations, training and opening new salons in these exciting countries," stated Francis.
