CITY HOMES TEAMS ON SHORTLIST.


A SCHEME aimed at protecting some of Liverpool's most vulnerable people has been shortlisted for two awards.

The Healthy Homes initiative was launched by council, NHS NHS

NHS (in Britain) National Health Service
 and fire chiefs to prevent health problems caused by poor privately-rented housing.

The programme has been shortlisted for the Municipal Journal Awards and a National Business Award next month.

Healthy Homes staff will be visiting more than 30,000 homes in Liverpool to assess the condition of their homes and identify those people with the greatest health needs.
