CITY ANNOUNCES REWARDS WITNESSES SOUGHT IN PAIR OF SLAYINGS.

Jones, 23, of Canoga Park was found lying on the sidewalk near his home in the 21400 block of Chase Street on June 7. He was walking a friend to a parked vehicle when a gunman shot him multiple times in the chest.

Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital where he later died.

Marcos Flores, 60, of Granada Hills was found slumped over inside his Isuzu Trooper The Isuzu Trooper was a mid-size SUV produced by the Japanese automaker Isuzu between 1981 and 2002. It was exported worldwide as the Isuzu Bighorn, Isuzu Trooper, Honda Horizon, Acura SLX, Chevrolet Trooper, Vauxhall/Opel Monterey, and  on July 7 in the 16400 block of San Fernando Mission Boulevard. Family members discovered him just after midnight. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body.

Paramedics took him to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills after midnight.

``He was always a man willing to help other people,'' said Flores' son Daniel Argueta. ``We could not think of any case that would have led someone to kill him.''

Smith made the motion in favor of the $25,000 rewards.

The gunmen's identities and motives remain unknown. ``The victims were gunned down unnecessarily and brutally,'' he said.
