The observance of the 13th anniversary of cityhood will include a 1K kids' fun run, 5K and 10K runs and a 5K walk at Valencia Summit Park, behind the YMCA at 26147 McBean Parkway, Valencia. Organizers say they want to build a healthy community and urge families to walk and run on the Valencia paseos. Water stations will be provided along the course and refreshments re·fresh·ment n. 1. Medals will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place male and female finishers in each division. Medals will be given to all participants in the kids' run - open to children 12 and under. An awards ceremony will follow the races. The divisions are 12 and under, 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and over 60.
