Valleynews.com reporter Mark Kellam, who covers the Southeast Valley and is a Northridge Kiwanis member, recently covered the annual Farm Walk at Pierce College In 2006 the Library won a national Excellence award. Academics
Pierce College offers associate's degrees, mainly in the arts and sciences. There are also certificate programs in early childhood education, social services, dental hygienist, and others.

Kellam gives us a detailed report of the Kowchip Bingo contest, a fundraiser of the Kiwanis Club.

 Ramos Chandler, who handles public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  for the university.

Chandler always keeps us posted with CSUN news. This week, read her story on the school's radio station, KCSN-FM 88.5, which received three Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Former Canoga Park resident, Patrick Murphy

, wrote a piece on page 8 expressing why he feels Canoga Park is a great place to live and play.

Here's a little bit of history on Patrick Murphy: He is past president of the Canoga Park High School Canoga Park High School is a public school located in Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California, USA, within the Los Angeles Unified School District.

It is located right across the street from the Topanga Plaza shopping center.
 Booster Club, the Canoga Park Kiwanis Club, the Canoga Park Community Center and the West Hills Optimist Club. Murphy is also the "Father" of the Canoga Park Memorial Day Parade and was the chairman of that event when it was resurrected in 1989.
