CITIBANK STUDENT LOAN UNIT BEGINS PUBLIC OFFERING

 NEW YORK, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Citibank today announced that it has priced an initial public offering of 3.6 million shares of The Student Loan Corporation at $16.75 per share. The offering is being made through an underwriting group led by Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Incorporated and The First Boston Corporation.
