The company will issue 24 million equity units with a stated amount of $25.00 per unit. The equity units carry a total distribution rate of 7.75%. The threshold appreciation price of the equity units is $42.00, which represents a premium of approximately 20.07% over the closing price of CIT's common stock of $34.98 on October 17, 2007. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on October 23, 2007.
