CIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. BEGINS OUTSOURCING RELATIONSHIP WITH TULANE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND CLINIC.

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 1995--CIS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ/NM:CISI) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Tulane University Hospital and Clinic (TUHC) to provide billing and accounts receivable management services for its hospital-based clinic patient accounts. As one of the nation's leading teaching hospitals, TUHC is focused on providing high quality, cost-effective care to its patients. In an effort to lower costs, improve cash flow, and effectively manage accounts receivable, TUHC requested bids to outsource the entire billing and follow-up operations for its increasing volume of outpatient ancillary and hospital-based clinic accounts. After a three-month selection process, CIS Technologies, Inc. was awarded a fourteen- month, automatically renewable contract to provide those outsourcing services for TUHC.

Under the terms of the agreement, all outpatient ancillary and hospital-based clinic claims will be transferred electronically from TUHC's patient accounting system to CIS' Extended Business Office operation in Atlanta. From there, the CIS Professional Services staff will provide complete account follow-up and collection services, including all telephone calls, correspondence, documentation, and adjustments required to bring the account to a zero balance. This project is very similar to the outsourcing services CIS is providing for another prestigious teaching facility -- New York University Medical Center. TUHC selected CIS based on its experience in providing outsourcing solutions for patient accounting, the professionalism and experience of its staff, and its EDI technology. TUHC, an EDI client of CIS since 1990, recently entered into a partnership with Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation.
