CIO Magazine's Editorial Director to Keynote Intranets '99 Conference.


WILTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 1999--Online Inc. announced today that Lew McCreary Lew McCreary is an American author, editor, and speaker.

McCreary was born on September 21, 1947. He is editorial director of CXO Media Inc., and is a source for media outlets on issues of technology and security.

In his keynote presentation, McCreary will address the content challenge that confronts intranet teams who have mastered the technology and now must learn to manage content to create wholly effective and efficient applications or knowledge-based intranets. From his vantage point as Editorial Director of CIO Communications, publisher of CIO and CIO Web Business magazines, Lew McCreary has watched intranets develop from information buckets to integral, operational components in many business organizations.

Lew McCreary is Editorial Director, CIO Communications, Inc. and was previously the Executive Editor for CIO Magazine. He is a pioneer and a visionary and championed the launch of WebMaster A person responsible for the implementation of a Web site. Webmasters must be proficient in HTML as well as one or more scripting and interface languages such as JavaScript and Perl. They may also have experience with more than one type of Web server.
