 CINTAS ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER ENDED FEB. 29, 1992
 CINCINNATI, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) announced today the results for the third quarter ended Feb. 29, 1992. Sales for the quartter were $99.4 million, up 13 percent from $87.9 million last year and net income was $9.3 million, up 24 percent from $7.5 million last year. Earnings per share increased 21 percent to $.40 per share from $.33 per share last year.
 For the first nine months, sales increased 15 percent to $297.5 million from $259.6 million last year while net income was $28.3 million, up 26 percent from $22.6 million last year. For the first nine months, earnings per share were $1.23 per share compared to $1.00 per share last year, an increase of 23 percent.
 On Feb. 24, 1992, the company announced that its board of directors approved a 2-for-1 split of its common stock. The effective date of this split is April 2, 1992. The per share results above are based on outstanding shares prior to the split.
 On Oct. 1, 1991, the company acquired Rental Uniform Service of Greenville, S.C. This acquisition has been accounted for as a pooling of interests and accordingly all financial information for prior periods has been restated to reflect the combination of Cintas and Rental Uniform Service as if the two companies had always been one entity.
 During the quarter, the company announced plans to build new rental facilities in Kansas City, Kan., and Miami. This is in addition to the new facilities recently opened in Dayton, Ohio, and Nashville, Tenn., and facilities under construction in Pittsburgh and New Orleans.
 On March 3, 1992, the company acquired Uniwear, Inc. in Akron, Ohio, a uniform rental company, with annual sales of approximately $7 million.
 Richard T. Farmer, chairman and chief executive officer, said, "We are continuing our aggressive growth plans in spite of the current recession. The recently announced building plans and acquisitions of Rental Uniform Service of Greenville and Uniwear, Inc. support our objective of having a uniform rental operation in every major city in the United States."
 Farmer further stated, "We are making progress on improving the operations of our new Cincinnati Distribution Center. This very important part of our company will provide us with signficant cost efficiencies in the future and will support our growth plans."
 Cintas is a leader in the business of designing, planning and implementing corporate identity uniform programs. The company has 81 uniform rental facilities located in 28 states and the Province of Ontario, Canada. It is a publicly held company traded over NASDAQ under the symbol CTAS.
