CINEMARK TO OPEN NEW, 16-SCREEN MOVIE THEATER FRIDAY.

PALMDALE -- Palmdale will get its first new movie theater in 16 years: a 16-screen stadium-style seating multiplex See multiplexing.  operated by Texas-based Cinemark, the same company that operates Antelope antelope, name applied to a large number of hoofed, ruminant mammals of the cattle family (Bovidae), which also includes the sheep and goats. City planners opposed the neighbors' appeal, saying the 1.35-million-square-foot mall as it exists now -- including the new theater and other additions -- is 500,000 square feet smaller than the one planned in the late 1980s and studied in an environmental impact report.
