CIMA appoints professor.Wim Van der Stede has become CIMA professor of management accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science London School of Economics and Political Science, at London, England; founded 1895, recognized as a school of the Univ. of London (see London, Univ. of) in 1900. . The appointment, announced at the institute's Management Accounting Research Group conference on April 17, is intended to raise the profile of management accounting and bridge theory and practice to help set the agenda for the future of business finance. His previous roles include assistant professor at the University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission and visiting professor at ESSEC business school in Paris. He has published many articles and won awards including the AAA AAA: see American Automobile Association.
