CIGNA AGREES TO SETTLE CLASS ACTION BROUGHT BY PHYSICIANS.


Cigna Corp. has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit by agreeing to be more forthcoming with physicians about its business practices.

In announcing the agreement, American Medical Association American Medical Association (AMA), professional physicians' organization (founded 1847). Its goals are to protect the interests of American physicians, advance public health, and support the growth of medical science.  President Yank Yank

He said AMA would help physicians understand the agreement and encouraged them to explore their options under the agreement "for receiving the compensation they were wrongfully denied."
