CIE America appoints Marc Liebesman senior vice president and general manager for C.Itoh printer products; Liebesman assumes additional responsibilities.

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 1995--Effective Aug. 1, 1995, Marc Liebesman has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of CIE America Inc., supplier of C.Itoh computer peripherals and part of the electronics division of Itochu Corp., a globally integrated corporation ranked #3 by Fortune magazine and with revenues in excess of $166 billion.

Liebesman has been a member of senior management in several Itochu Corp. electronics companies based in the United States for over the past 10 years, including C.Itoh Digital Products, C.Itoh Electronics, C-Tech and currently CIE America. He has extensive knowledge in selling and marketing high technology products and in his new position will also be responsible for the daily operations of CIE America. He reports to Jack Sumino, who remains as president of CIE America, but now directs his efforts to the Santa Clara Operations of Itochu Technology Inc., another division of Itochu Corp.

CIE America has recently made numerous new product introductions including a unique flatbed printer specializing in forms printing, a thermal bar code printer and two new line printers capable of being connected to any system environment. Additional product announcements are scheduled this fall.

Previous to joining Itochu Corp., Liebesman held a series of executive level positions at Orange Micro Inc. and Epson America Inc. He resides in Orange with his wife and two children.

Both Liebesman and Sumino are based at the CIE America corporate headquarters in Tustin, Calif.
