CIC to Provide a Hebrew Version of the Jot Handwriting Recognition System as Part of a Licensing Agreement With Top Technology.

(Nasdaq: CICI) CIC today announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Top Technology Ltd. for a Hebrew version of the Jot(R) handwriting recognition system. As part of the agreement Top has contracted CICC, CIC's joint venture in China, to develop a Hebrew version of Jot. The Jot product will be bundled on the Helio PDA licensed by Top from Vtech (HKG: 0303:HK). This version of the Helio is expected to begin shipping in Israel in the second quarter of 2000.

The Vtech Helio currently bundles CIC's Jot recognizer and is sold in the United States (www.vtech.com). Current versions of Jot enable recognition of English and Roman-based Western European characters, symbols, and accent marks as well as PinYin based input for Chinese in a compact program size. These products are currently bundled by Ericsson, Legend, Microsoft, National Semiconductor, Symbian, Vtech and Wacom. Jot is also a popular input alternative for users of Palm organizers. CIC is establishing Jot as the de-facto standard for data input on Wireless Information Devices.
