CIC announces enhanced version of its AnalytiX database marketing software.

), a leader in stand-alone and client/server database marketing software and services, today announced the availability of AnalytiX release 2.3.

The software includes several features and enhancements to enrich its information analysis capabilities and ease of use.

AnalytiX, CIC's flagship software product, is a high-performance, analytical database marketing system that enables users to analyze valuable client data on their own desktop, and offers insight that helps drive successful business strategies and tactics.

AnalytiX 2.3 delivers additional analytical and segmentation capabilities

The new version's enriched capabilities include added report flexibility, advanced modeling techniques, and improved direct mail tools. With the new Analytical Report Template (1) A pre-designed document or data file formatted for common purposes such as a fax, invoice or business letter. If the document contains an automated process, such as a word processing macro or spreadsheet formula, then the programming is already written and embedded in the  (ART), non-technical users can select from multiple report options to build customized reports, giving them more power to create sophisticated reports without understanding the underlying programming technology.

This advanced version of AnalytiX has also eliminated the time-consuming data preparation process often associated with completing advanced data models. A new Statistical Modeling Interface gives AnalytiX users an easy way to manipulate, analyze and export data to the third-party SPSS A statistical package from SPSS, Inc., Chicago (www.spss.com) that runs on PCs, most mainframes and minis and is used extensively in marketing research. It provides over 50 statistical processes, including regression analysis, correlation and analysis of variance.  statistical modeling package to complete statistical analysis.

In addition, AnalytiX delivers enhanced direct mail tools to make it easier to group and track household activity over a specified time series. In addition, release 2.3 has taken advantage of its Windows-based structure by enabling the toolbar A row or column of on-screen buttons used to activate functions in the application. Many toolbars are customizable, letting you add and delete buttons as required. Toolbars may be fixed in position or may float, which means they can be dragged to a more convenient location in the  functionality for query management. Users can enter and edit field descriptions, filter fields from view and take advantage of toolbar menus to cut, copy, paste, save and print query expressions.

The autosequencing function in release 2.3 also makes database segmentation faster and easier. This segmentation scoring capability assigns mail keys and segment codes to facilitate mass customization of special offers.
