The product is designed to enable the implementation of electronic signatures in Business to Consumer or Business to Business e-Commerce applications over the Internet and corporate Intranets. The signature capture and retrieval solutions enabled by iSign, help to significantly reduce operating expenses associated with processing, handling, storing, and retrieving traditional paper documents that require a handwritten signature. Transaction examples include on-line purchase receipts, account applications, loan documents, contracts and insurance forms.

iSign greatly increases the speed of such transactions by allowing a document to be signed and submitted electronically eliminating the need to print and mail applications or forms. The captured transaction information and electronic signature are all encrypted for secure transmission, storage, and future retrieval.

iSign is designed for use with most pen tablets including Wacom, Interlink INTERLINK - A commercial product comprising hardware and software for file transfer between IBM and VAX computers.  and Topaz as well as Palm organizers and touchscreens.
