:CBR) has announced it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (USACAPOC USACAPOC United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command ), a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command A subordinate unified or other joint command established by a joint force commander to plan, coordinate, conduct, and support joint special operations within the joint force commander's assigned operational area. Also called SOC. CIBER will provide services that include Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. USACAPOC, headquartered in Fort Bragg, N.C., is one of three major commands comprising the USASOC. With responsibility for both Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations activities, USACAPOC provides support to all theater commanders in meeting their global commitments. Civil Affairs units assists tactical commanders in their responsibilities toward the civilian population, prevents civilian interference with tactical operations, provides liaison with civilian governmental agencies and helps restore a friendly nation's legal or economic system. The Psychological Operations units support national security objectives during peacetime, contingencies and war. They are a critical part of the political, military, economic and ideological activities used by the U.S. government to secure national objectives.

USACAPOC soldiers maintain the highest standards of training and physical readiness in order to be prepared to deploy anywhere in the world on short notice. By having CIBER assume the important responsibility of maintaining their network, the USACAPOC can fully focus on fulfilling this mission.
