CIBER Achieves Check Point Authorized Training Center Status; New Jersey Branch to Offer Hands-On Training Courses.

CIBER, Inc. (NYSE:CBR) today announced it has achieved Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP) Authorized Training Center (ATC) status, qualifying under stringent requirements met by CIBER's staff and New Jersey branch facility.

CIBER's world-class training facility is located in Parsippany, New Jersey, where Check Point products have been integrated into a lab network to permit live demonstrations and hands-on learning. Detailed practical information is presented along with hands-on lab exercises for consultants.

The training courses offered are designed to prepare candidates for the Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and Check Point Certified Security Engineer (CCSE) certifications. The CCSA course -- VPN-1(TM)/FireWall-1(R) Management I -- is a two-day program that provides certification candidates with a basic understanding of Internet and intranet security and firewall technologies. It explains FireWall-1's operation and implementation. The course also provides hands-on experience in installing Check Point's firewall on Windows NT systems and teaches students how to configure an enterprise-wide security policy using FireWall-1's graphical user interface (GUI).

The CCSE course -- VPN-1/FireWall-1 Management II -- is a two-day program that provides certification candidates with in-depth information on setting up systems with multiple firewalls, integration with routers and the use of various encryption technologies. Other topics covered in this program include: remote management, load balancing, user-defined tracking, firewall synchronization and encryption for virtual private networking.
