CIBC Oppenheimer signs lease in Florham Park. (New Jersey).

CIBC Oppenheimer (the Private Client Division of CIBC World Markets) has signed a long-term lease for approximately 22,000 SF at 18 Columbia Turnpike, a brand new three-story 159,550-SF Class A office building located in Florham Park, N.J., announced Richard Stadtmauer, managing partner of Kushner Companies, the building's owner/developer. Since 1950, CIBC Oppenheimer and its predecessors have filled a unique role in the financial services industry, helping high net-worth investors and institutions accumulate, enhance and protect their wealth. CIBC Oppenheimer provides custom-tailored financial solutions that meet the changing needs of sophisticated investors in today's dynamic markets.

The Columbia Turnpike office will be CIBC Oppenheimer's first operation in New Jersey according to Gadi Ben-Menachem, a managing director of the company, and branch manager of the new office. "We have 16 branch offices throughout the United States, and our headquarters were based at One World Financial Center," he said. "We had already planned to establish a major presence in New Jersey sometime in the future. In the wake of the events of Sept. 11, we determined to expedite the process in order to accommodate many of the account executives who worked downtown and to better service our clients in the region."

The transaction was completed within two months according to Susanne Newmark, president of Newmark Associates, Inc., a regional real estate services firm based in Hanover Township, who represented CIEC Oppenheimer. "We brought in the New Jersey Division of Economic Development to facilitate the transaction, and all parties worked diligently to bring this to fruition as quickly as possible," she said, adding that the company looked at 15 sites prior to selecting 18 Columbia Turnpike.
