motorcycles, 14 cell phones, 15 thousand cash and illegal weapons from
them. The culprits illegally entered Pakistan from Afghanistan and were
residing in Lahore in a rented house. A case against the culprits has
also been registered under 13/14 Foreigner Act. During initial
investigation, the suspects have revealed committing various acts of
robbery, cash and mobile phone snatching and vehicles stealing from
different parts of the city. According to the details, Capital City
Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore, DIG Investigation Dr. Shoaib
Dastagir gave instructions to SSP Investigation Zulfiqar Hameed, to take
effective measures for eradication of robbery, cash and mobile phone
snatching and vehicles stealing, who gave special target in this regard
to SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk. The SP CIA constituted a special police
team, under the leadership of DSP CIA City division Khalid Abubaker,
Inspector Mukhtar Mukhtar, meaning "chosen" in Arabic, refers to the head of a village or mahalle (urban district) in many Arab countries. The name refers to the fact that mukhtars are usually selected by some consensual or participatory method, often involving an election. Ahmed and other police officials, to arrest the gangs
involved in such crimes, which, working day and night, collected
necessary particulars of the Afghani dacoit gang, and arrested its eight
members on a tip-off, including its ring leader. The modus operandi of
the culprits was that they used to lift parked motorcycles with the help
of master key and ride them and snatch cash and mobile phones at
gunpoint from citizens and run away. 15 other cases have also been
traced against them. The areas in which these criminals had committed
crime include Ravi Road, Tibi City, Gawalmandi, Green Town, Shahdara
Town, Shafiqabad, Mozang and Yakki Gate. The police have recovered six
motorcycles, 14 cell phones, 15 thousand in cash, one tv, two pistols, a
rifle and cartridges from them. The arrested were identified as
ringleader Muhammad Bilal alias Baloch, Liaq Khan, Sher Khan, Daud Shah,
Tasawar Hussain, Muhammad Iqbal alias Bala, Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad
Khalid. Further investigation is in progress. Capital City Police
