When Pelkey was in India, he visited Coorilos' school, the top academic institution in Navi Mumbai. ``He's someone who everyone respects,'' Pelkey said. ``They deferred to his judgment.'' Pelkey envisions students from around the world - particularly from Santa Clarita sister cities - studying at the college. ``Down the road it is a hope that we can get a trickle of international students coming to College of the Canyons from our sister cities, and spread the kind of good will we want,'' Pelkey said. |
