CHURCH BUILDING SAVED AS DEVELOPER PLANS 32 FLATS.


CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save an historic Liverpool church are celebrating after developers scrapped plans to demolish it.

Plans to knock down St Peter's church in High Park Street, Toxteth, met with protests when put forward last year.

But developers Limebourne Developments have now changed their plans and intend to convert the 120-year-old house of worship Noun 1. house of worship - any building where congregations gather for prayer

MCS spokesman Jonathan Brown said: "It sounds more positive than the prospect of demolition.
