CHS will be a participating processor of Monsanto's Vistive[TM] low-linolenic soybeans in 2006 and will market Vistive oil for use by the food industry. For the 2006 growing season growing season, period during which plant growth takes place. In temperate climates the growing season is limited by seasonal changes in temperature and is defined as the period between the last killing frost of spring and the first killing frost of autumn, at which time annual plants die and biennials and perennials cease active growth and become dormant for the cold winter months., CHS will be contracting with growers in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa for up to 40,000 acres of Vistive soybean production.
