CHS Marketing, LLC, a company formed by the owners of Curry Seed, Hoegemeyer Hybrids and Bo-Jac Seed, has reached an agreement with Dow AgroSciences, Indianapolis, to market Herculex I Insect Protection. CHS Marketing, under a new brand name called TRITON Genetics, will offer this newest generation of Bt products. Dow AgroSciences has granted CHS Marketing, with its TRITON Genetics brand and Mycogen Seeds, an affiliate of Dow AgroSciences, the first rights to market Herculex I Insect Protection corn. TRITON Genetics brand Herculex I corn will be available through the independent seed dealers of the Curry, Hoegemeyer, and Bo-Jac Seed companies, who are also independent seed dealers of CHS Marketing. Herculex I is registered for food and feed uses in the United States, and grain containing the Herculex I trait has recently received regulatory committee approvals for food, feed and import into the Japanese overseas market.
