CHRYSLER TARGETS SENIORS IN SEDAN INCENTIVE PROGRAM
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation

(NYSE: C) announced today it is launching a wide-reaching $500 rebate coupon/certificate program which can be applied to the purchase or lease of new 1992 or '93 model large sedans in addition to incentives in effect at the time of delivery.
Eligible vehicles are the Chrysler Imperial, New Yorker Fifth Avenue, New Yorker Salon and Dodge Dynasty. Current national consumer incentives are $1,500 on '92 Imperial and Fifth Avenue, and $1,250 on '93s; $1,000 on '92 Salon and Dynasty, and $750 on '92s.
Delivery must be taken during the program which is effective Sept. 22 through Dec. 31, 1992, although the start date on coupons will read Oct. 1. Sold order protection applies to '93 models ordered by Dec. 31.
The program will be tied in with mailings of selected magazines for seniors, the high demographic group for these sedans. A "Senior Rebate" coupon will appear in ads in the October/November issue of Modern Maturity, the official publication of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) with 38 million readers.
Another 1.8 million subscribers to Mature Outlook, New Choices and Newsweek (Plus 50 Years Old edition) will receive the same offer.
In early October, a direct-mail campaign will reach a million Chrysler and competitive owners with a "Traditional Luxury" $500 cash- back certificate.
Consumers must be at least age 50 to redeem the "Senior Rebate" coupon, although it may be transferred to an immediate family member living in the same household. Only one coupon/certificate may be used for each retail sale or lease.
Any current owner of a 1986 through '92 Imperial, New Yorker, Dynasty or LeBaron sedan, who purchased/leased new and still owns/leases, who does not receive the cash-back certificate may obtain one by contacting their local dealer.
