HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) announced today the election of a new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and two new Corporate Vice Presidents.
Gary C. Valade was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer replacing Jerome B. York who resigned earlier this week. In a related move, Thomas P. "We've said we had tremendous bench strength in our finance organization and the promotion of Gary Valade and Tom Capo are proof of the confidence we have in that organization," Eaton said. "Gary has broad experience in the controller's function and will continue our emphasis on cost containment while Tom Capo will continue working with Wall Street, the banking community and our credit operations to further improve our balance sheet.
"Jim Holden has spent the past year as part of our cross-functional management team investigating new and better ways to run the company," Eaton said. "This promotion will give him the opportunity to put some of that learning to work in our Personnel area."
