CHRYSLER INCREASES PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED BENEFITS; ADDS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) increased its reimbursement for physically challenged adaptive equipment from $500 to $750 on nearly all new 1993, 1994 and 1995 Chrysler vehicles and added a roadside assistance plan for physically challenged customers, the company announced today.
The only two vehicles not effected by the increase, 1993 and 1994 Dodge Ram Wagons and Ram Vans, will continue a $1,500 reimbursement for conversion costs. Both reimbursement programs will end Dec. 31, 1994.
"The cash reimbursement will be offered in addition to any other Chrysler incentive being offered at the time of the lease or purchase," said Bob Kromm, manager of Chrysler's Physically Challenged Assistance Program (PCAP). "Also, this reimbursement won't be reduced if you have additional outside funding to help cover the costs of converting the vehicle."
The new program includes a three-year complimentary roadside assistance package from Cross Country Motor Club. The benefits include: emergency roadside assistance, emergency lockout or locksmith service, emergency travel expense reimbursement; 24-hour emergency towing; computerized trip routing, travel information and retrieving lost keys, and coverage for spouses.
