CHRYSLER EXTENDS 'MINIVAN SALE'
CHRYSLER EXTENDS 'MINIVAN SALE' HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation
(NYSE: C) is extending its "National Minivan Sale" and its $500 national consumer incentive on short wheelbase minivans through Aug. 31, 1992.
The National Minivan Sale was scheduled to end June 22, however, Chrysler said positive dealer and customer response to the program prompted the extension. Since the Sale was announced April 23, Chrysler posted its second and third best monthly minivan sales (May and April) and minivan sales are running at a record pace for the calendar year to date. The sale allows customers up to $1,600 in cash discounts on selected factory-installed equipment on 1991 and '92 model minivans, not commercial minivans, delivered from dealer stock during the program period. The better equipped the vehicle, the greater the discount. The $500 national consumer incentive on short wheelbase minivans can be added to the equipment discount for a maximum of $2,100 in cash back. As an alternative to the $500, buyers can choose low interest financing at rates of 6.9 percent for loans up to 24 months, 7.9 up to 36 months, 8.9 to 48 months or 9.9 to 60 months. Incentives on long wheelbase minivans ended June 22, except for customers buying from dealers in California and Hawaii where the incentive has been reduced from $1,000 to $500. National consumer incentives currently in effect on a wide range of other cars and trucks are available through Tuesday, June 30. -0- 6/23/92 /CONTACT: Tom Jakobowski of Chrysler, 313-956-1881 or 313-956-2894/ (C) CO: Chrysler Corporation ST: Michigan IN: AUT SU:
