CHRYSLER ANNOUNCES 1993 UNITED WAY GIFT OF $4,399,725

 HIGHLAND PARK, Mich., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Chrysler Corporation (NYSE: C) today announced the company is pledging $4,399,725 to United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
 Chrysler's gift consists of employee pledges totaling $3,612,225 and a gift from the Chrysler Fund totaling $787,500. The announcement was made by Arthur C. Liebler, vice president of Communications and co-chair of the company's employee drive, at a United Way luncheon held at the Westin Hotel in Detroit.
 "At Chrysler, we care about the United Way and we believe that the United Way is the best way to give," Liebler said. "The corporation and the International and Local Unions representing our employees jointly support the United Way and the agencies which provide help and hope to so many people."
 Liebler expressed his personal gratitude to Stan Marshall, vice president and director of UAW - Chrysler Department, who also served as co-chair of this year's employee campaign, the dedicated campaign coordinators, and all employees who believe in and support the United Way.
