CHORUS EXCELS IN FOUR-PART HARMONY.

NEWBURY PARK - The Agoura Hills Harmony Chorus earned the Division AA Award for the second consecutive year at the recent Sweet Adelines International Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances.  Regional Competition in Bakersfield.

Popular vocal ensemble consisting of four unaccompanied male voices. The voice parts are tenor, lead, baritone, and bass, with the lead normally singing the melody and the tenor harmonizing above.

Each year, the chorus creates and learns new material for a variety of performances. It sings at free concerts at local schools, hospitals and retirement homes, particularly during the holidays. The AHH! Chorus also provides performances for a fee at birthday celebrations, singing Valentines, corporate parties and community activities.

The AHH! Chorus organizes and encourages small groups and quartets and provides training and education in the four-part harmony style, which is arranged and sung without instrumental accompaniment. The chorus rehearses at 7:15 p.m. every Tuesday at Newbury Park High School, 456 N. Reino Road, Newbury Park. For information, call (805) 531-3714.
