CHOIR'S MUSIC DIRECTOR NAMED NANCY SCHUETTE TO LEAD A.V. CHILDREN'S SINGING GROUP.

An accomplished music instructor and performer, Schuette is also part of the music faculty supporting elementary and middle schools in the Palmdale School District The Palmdale School District is a school district that serves a major part of the city of Palmdale, California (USA).

The Palmdale School District was first formed in 1888. Approximately 28,000 students are enrolled in the Palmdale School District.

``We are delighted to have someone with Nancy's background and enthusiasm leading the choir,'' said Melanie Cross, board president of the choir. ``Our children are enjoying her teaching and musicianship already.''

Schuette, who is also an adjunct professor at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. , began her new position Aug. 9 for a choir music camp.

Schuette previously worked in Colorado, where she directed and trained a variety of children's musical groups. Her positions in Colorado included being choral director at Longs Peak Middle School in Longmont, assistant choral director for the Greeley Children's Chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in , and music specialist for Fraser Valley Elementary School in Fraser. Schuette also directed the Sweet Adelines Group in Granby.

Schuette has also performed as an accompanist and cast member for the Little Pinecone Theatre of the Rockies. Productions included ``Anything Goes,'' ``Revue of Carole King's Tapestry'' and ``Grease.''

She holds degrees in music, with an emphasis on piano performance, and in music education, from the University of Northern Colorado It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with and ()

Schuette and her husband, Don, live in Santa Clarita. She replaces Wayne ``Doc'' Wilson, who left the choir in June for a music career in Hawaii.
